This Fender Jaguar in Candy Apple Red required a refret, setup and attention to the electrics. The guitar was stripped and cleaned, the electrics cleaned and lubricated with switch cleaner, and all the soldered joints checked and remade where necessary. The neck was removed and refretted with standard Fender spec Dunlop fretwire. A previous refret had the frets stopping short of the binding, losing valuable width, so the refret brought the frets over the binding, as original. Bridge and tremelo were disassembled, cleaned and lubricated, and the body was polished.. Electrics which hadn't worked for years now functioned normally!

The guitar as delivered. The fretboard before any work. the lower frets were badly worn and the frets did not cover the binding, losing valuable width.

Another shot of the fretboard showing the full width frets
Refretted, fretboard cleaned and frets now spanning the entire width of the board and binding
The finished guitar - looking, and playing, much better
